There is only medicine, not Western, not traditional, not alternative, just medicine. People who enter the field of medicine join to understand how life works in the human body, and the states of health as various factors that affect a person.  The challenges and trials of life are assimilated by each individual differently and show in them at various degrees of ill health.

As health care practitioners, we strive to understand the human mind and body as the types of coursework for each practitioner shows. We do so to be able to help our fellow humans. This is the simple reason why we need to learn to speak the same medical language and not be disjointed like in the tale of the Tower of Babel.
